The intake appointment at the chiropractor was $190 and $50 each for the twice a week 15 minute appointments BEFORE insurance reimbursement, which I hear will be just a $10 copay for each of those and I don't know if any of the $190 will come back to me. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona insurance through my employer. Today I saw Barbara Erskine, the speech pathology specialist for our first appointment and lead me to believe each visit with her will also be $10 copay. My first visit with her was great - she talked about breathing exercises and oral muscles and the 4 different components of speech: Brain (basal ganglia) oral muscles, breathing, and hyoid bone. Each of those parts was out of whack in it's own way and through retraining and practicing different exercises they can all fall back into place together. She emphasized the need to breathe fluidly through pronunciation and how words will go nowhere without it. Hope I answered your question! Thanks.
