Does it ever get better? Yes, no, maybe so. We are always going to encounter rude people. We are always going to struggle with speech in some way, be it covertly or overtly. But things absolutely can (probably will) get better. How we cope with our situations can get better. You can’t control how the asshole interviewer reacts to you. You can contact that company and let them know how the process went. You could’ve told him where to shove it (since you know they aren’t hiring you anyway). But please keep applying to jobs and accepting interviews. You and your livelihood deserve the time and effort. It’s exhausting, you’re worth it.
