Are you a walking thesaurus?

Are you a walking thesaurus? When I talk I legitimately think several words ahead, and when I know a word is coming up that doesn't treat me well, I will flip in a synonym. I can usually do this on the fly but if I need an extra second, I will insure an "um" or "like" etc. I actually think this is a pretty handy trick and has helped grow my overall vocabulary. Thanks stutter! Any similar stories or tricks people use? Any shout outs to your stutter making you a better person?
