For the longest time in my life I worked the lowest manual labor jobs because they did not require speaking. I was a bussboy, landscape laborer, dug ditches (literally) to install lawn sprinkler systems, dish washer, grocery bagger in supermarket. All of the jobs were very low paid and did not utilize my intelligence but It seemed like every good job required you to be a great speaker or communicator. My mom was a nurse and got me a job filing medical records at a doctors office. The lab manager in the office took interest in me and trained me to be a phlebotomist (drawing blood) and encouraged me to go to college to become a laboratory technician. Graduated college and loved working as a Medical Lab Scientist. Moved to California, got licensed, and made double the pay. Now making $68.94 an hour and became a millionaire this year. Still hard to make phone calls, still always hard in general, but even with a stutter you can still become financially successful. Just wanted to share.
