I would speak to the prof as there may be other options - I did this once in high school and the teacher gave me the option to film it (this was years ago so I used a 8 MM camcorder). I know your pain about presenting in French - my worst block ever was in French class in the middle of a presentation/skit - that was 20 years ago, but I still remember it vividly. Public speaking used to give me nightmares, but once I spent about a year going to Toastmasters sessions, they don't phase me anymore.
