From my experience, I have had periods where my stuttering is severely worse than usual, and then some days when I do not stutter at all. I started stuttering when I was 10-11, I am now 20 years old. I went to speech therapy at age 11, it got better and, while the severity of my stutter fluctuated for many years, it was manageable. This year, however, during the pandemic and the lockdown, my stutter worsened significantly. I don't know why this happened, but I have heard the same happening to others during this time. It might be because of decreased verbal interaction, but I have no idea. I made the decision to reach out to the speech therapy department at my university, who then organized a speech therapy course for me, which has worked wonders. Unfortunately, stuttering is a problem that never goes away for some, and while its severity fluctuates from day to day, through speech therapy I have learnt techniques to apply whenever I am in a stuttering moment, and it feels so much better knowing I can go into any situation knowing I can get through a stuttering moment with a technique that works for me. Have you ever considered going to speech therapy? I can definitely recommend it. You could maybe talk to your parents about it. Also, where are you from? I'm from South Africa, but The McGuire program might be presented in your country. It is a course for stuttering people, presented by people who stutter themselves. The entry fee is quite steep, but it is a once-off payment for a life-time membership. I have heard it has worked for many people.
