I think the major point here is that we all struggle. Some more than others. We should be trying to lift each other up though and meeting people where they are. I absolutely agree that some people are super condescending towards others for not "working hard enough" to end their stutter. A lot of these "success stories" just boil down "and you can be happy too if you just work as hard as I did." Often leaving out that they probably had the financial and emotional support that many of us don't. So do I think that you're hopeless? No. I've been in the same place as you. I've been rejected for jobs. But you just gotta keep living and most importantly - keep stuttering. You'll eventually find the job where nobody gives a shit. I thought I wouldn't but I did. You don't have to like your stutter. You don't have to embrace it like some people here keep saying. But you do stutter and that sucks. Even while it sucks though, your stutter isn't the only thing you have. So maybe just try to define yourself as the stuttering cyclist or stuttering chef or stuttering writer. Put a skill or hobby next to your stutter - this is just as much a part of me.
