Isn’t a bi polar person just a normal person that occasionally has mood swings? Isn’t a depressed person just a normal person with uncontrollable sadness? Isn’t a person with a rheumatoid arthritis just a normal person who has pain in their joints? Disability isn’t just those that have visible impairments. Careful how you perceive disabilities, it can really lead to some not so fun conversations. Try telling someone with rheumatoid arthritis that they can’t park in the disabled parking and see how quickly he pulls out that blue card from his glove compartment and yells some colorful language in your direction.
