I used to hate phone calls whole heartedly. I’ve gotten much better now. Zoom calls…not great unfortunately. Phone calls with someone you’ll never meet and holds zero importance to you (like ATT or you insurance provider): I talk slowly and spell whatever I need to. Who cares and they couldn’t care less about you. Phone calls with people who I may need to meet or talk to again (like work people, guy who mows my yard, etc): I always text or email first. I always try to get them to call me. I do this because I suck at intros and can get that out of the way via text. “Hi this is *** from ***, please call me when you have moment regarding ****.” Boom, I just knocked out 3 parts of an intro. When in doubt or if I’m badly stuck, I hang up and live to fight again another day. Sometimes prior to calls, I read oh loud to myself. Or yell at the wall. Or tell myself I’m the shit. Or quote Denzel from Training Day “King Kong ain’t got shit on me!” Good luck out there
