>most of the time if you just tell people on the phone that you have a stutter, they will give you more time and they will understand, or at least be kind and compassionate about it Most people I meet though are in real life. >Same goes for making friends at work or anywhere really. Get your coworkers phone numbers and text them. Or use FB, Snapchat, Instagram, any platform works. The key, at least for me, is to have GREAT conversations via text first, then go for the in person conversations. I try to do this, but I never know when to invite them to hang out and real life or what to do and plus it makes me feel awkward because it makes me feel like I'm asking them out. And when I make friends or try to talk to people in real life. My stutter is definitely very noticeable so I can't even warn them.
