Yeah, maybe I'm being dismissive. Proprioception is fascinating though, and one of the topics that got me started. I was disheartened by a few studies on proprioceptive feedback of the tongue where they numbed the subjects' tongues with cocaine - even with no sensation of the tongue, speech and articulation remained intact in most subjects. It's hard to make sense of that, at least in my situation, where I'm not conducting studies myself, but rely on existing research and thinking.
