I don't remember the last time someone has directly made a comment about my stuttering. I would say that I'm on the mild side of things with occasional forays into moderate stuttering. However, I recently went out on the job market. Part of my interview was giving a lecture to a room full of people. I heard second hand that a dean in the college to which I was applying was in the lecture hd some concerns as to whether or not my stuttering would interfere with my teaching .... despite the fact that she sat through a lecture I gave full of complicated research information in which I was fairly fluent.
