No problem at all! Yeah, that's very true, I find that my speech gets worse when I focus on it too much and that as a result, I start to stress more, which creates a toxic speech cycle, it can be a very tricky one to recognise & break out of. I was like for a spell last year, after a particularly brutal virtual call & the effects of the lockdown here in the UK, I completely lost all of my faith in my speech. Since then, I have made a brand new Stuttering Solution, which has helped me massively. Oh, I see, it can be a very fascinating field, Stuttering can be. I would say there is no straight answer, you could develop a Stutter at any age. What can happen is that something happens to you at a certain age, which exemplifies your Stutter, and will make it worse, until you can find a way to manage it :) I talk about Stuttering a lot on my blog page, so I quite like these kinds of conversations, in all honesty. I fully understand your point about others accepting your Stutter, but it still not feeling the same, I feel it is a very common feeling among Stutterers.
