I too has the same issue. I did let it control my future at the time, but during those times the most important and the gatekeeper of my academic future were too dumb and uneducated (teachers/professors) to have any time and sensitivity to stuttering. Not sure of your age now, but I do think the “system” is a little more lenient and open to people and their disabilities even though stuttering is still laughed at and barely considered a real daily struggle for so many humans of all ages. My time came and went. It will be hard for me to start over until all my kids are on their own. I don’t have the silver spoon to have enjoyed the luxury of riches and paid for education. The real money and happiness I think is business for yourself though. At least for me. One day, one day, one day!!!
