I can confirm that it doesn't come from the throat. Its 100% a neurological condition (meaning it's from a difference in the brain). I've heard Drew Lynch saying his stuttering came from getting hit in the throat, but my speech pathology class discuss that it most likely came from the concussion he had from falling to the ground after getting hit in the throat. (I'm a speech pathology student)
