✔️Treat them like everyone else ✔️Ask them if they prefer texting, face to face, or phone ✔️ Don’t complete their sentences( it makes us even more anxious) as for me I hate when people say ( it’s ok; slow down it spikes my anxiety and makes me even sadder and nervous) ✔️ Stick up for them; there are times where the customer or other workers will joke about it but don’t sit there and just let them do it. Everyone needs someone in their corner rooting for them. The main question to ask them is: ‼️Whether they want you to address their stutter or not. Some people hate it while others find it helpful and reassuring that you wanna help. It all depends on the person and what their strengths and weaknesses are.
