Step 1 is accepting your disability. Step 2 is not letting it control you. As you get older, you will learn to accept things hopefully your stuttering. Then in accepting it, it will set you free and not control your life. As my confidence in myself grew, my stuttering decreased. Speech therapy for me didn't work. But my fluency did increase significantly after 30 when I settled into life.
