For me, practicing speaking in the mirror or even in my car while driving is literally too cringey for me. I seriously cringe myself out and can never complete a whole sentence because I stop myself every time and laugh like wtf am I doin. Personally, when asked my name, I go through words in my head that I can say, and string them to my name. If your name is Stan but you say s-st-st-… You could try and say “myname’sStan” as one word. Or maybe “supi’mStan” again as one word. I know, cheat words and phrases isn’t great advice, but it helps me get the words out better sometimes. Of course, the ever looming mid stutter in the phrases suck ass. Like if you say “hi I’m— uh I’m St— and that causes big embarrassment. Of course you already know all of this as a stutterer… Well.
