You did nothing wrong and you aren't alone. Have you tried "good" speech therapy? If talking to a group of 15 is difficult then talking to a group of a few hundred is going to be more so. There's no cure for stuttering, but "not stuttering" does not mean fluent speech. Someone can stutter and still be a very effective communicator!!
