I'm a bit surprised that your fluency didn't get a bit better after your brain embraced the acceptance, not to sound judgey or anything. I've heard that once you feel comfortable and the shame is reduced, fluency increases at various levels. But as to what you've experienced.. maybe asked yourself what is it about these words that's created a new stutter? Is it a block? Is it a sudden spike of anxiety? Is it anticipating that you'll stutter that word? Have you created a mental believe that you will stutter or block? Maybe get to the root of it, I do know that both anxiety and breathing pattern plays a big part in stuttering. I've had some luck with just telling myself "I can easily say this and I won't stutter" then sometimes I get lucky and fluency will increase that day, but I have to really stay on the mental work with that strategy.
