What I'd suggest to any parent is to get their kid involved with one of the great teen organizations out there. Orgs like friendswhostutter.org or say.org, not to mention the NSA overall really open the world of stuttering as far as new ideas, new friends, and new therapists, all that. I don't know what your therapist recommends but I hope they're working on getting past the shame with you and not on fluency. If it's the latter, might want to find a new therapist.
