I had this exact thing happen at a large college in the US. The professor even laughed at me. I went straight to the disabilities center and raised hell. From that moment on, I wasn’t required to give any more speeches unless I wanted to. One professor fought it a bit because it was required to pass the class, but we compromised to do the presentation without an audience. College, like most things in America, are all about money. So an angry “disabled” person is the last thing they want.
