My stammer went into remission for a few weeks about 15 years ago. Wow was that great. Complete fluency. But it wore off after a few and my stammer returned. What a pisser. That said when I focus all of my attention on speaking I can be nearly fluent (from stammering nearly every word). It's that paradox of ranging from not being able to get a word out for over 30 seconds to being able facilitate a two hour lecture with only minor stammering.
