I’m a 16 year old guy who stutters, and I agree, it’s literal hell. Therapy also didn’t work for me, and I haven’t done it for months. My stutter is pretty bad, and no one can give good suggestions on how to fix it (it’s the typical “slow down” or “think before you speak” type of shit.) I’ve tried devices as well, but they’re temporary. One thing that did help my stutter was anti-dopamine medications. Since having a stutter means you have more dopamine in the brain, taking out that dopamine can reduce the stutter. If you ever feel like you want your life to end, just remember all the successful people who stuttered: Robin Williams, Marilyn Monroe, Winston Churchill. The list goes on! Remembering that is the most helpful thing for me.
