I assure you, you aren't going to get fired. That's your stutter puffing out its chest and trying to intimate you. Don't let your stutter push you around. I worked at McDonalds when I was in my early 20's. At first I stayed in the kitchen. But I got tired of being back there. So I screwed up the nerve to work the counter and drive through. It was actually *really* good for my stutter. Almost like on-the-job speech therapy. I would encourage any stutterer who is avoiding a job due to the need to speak to do an about face. As scary as it is, it might turn out to be really beneficial. Sure, you're going to run into the occasional idiot who gives you a hard time. But you know what? That same idiot was going to be a jerk to any one of your coworkers. It's not about your stutter, it's about the idiot. Your stutter might be their focus, but if it were a coworker, the same idiot would berate them for being fat, foreign, wearing glasses, or having a big nose. Take your life back from your stutter
