I used to be just like this and although my stutter isn't any better I really try to go all out with speaking. I find talking truly difficult but I can usually find another word with similar meaning. I find that it really is worth it in the long run to put some effort in as I have made some amazing friends just by engaging more with people. I can say that my life has been changed and my confidence has grown tremendously.
