Interesting...I’m not a psychologist or a SLP. I understand the need to “own it” and accept the stutter without embarrassment. I’d rather speak fluidly tbh, and avoiding difficult words, replacing them with others has been something I’ve done for over 30 years. However, I can see how that might be considered detrimental to a larger goal of personal acceptance.
