i get so uncomfortable when i listen to other people stutter. i tried watching that, but... nope, it's too hard. as far as i'm aware, people who don't stutter don't get that. when i stutter around other people, it never seems like they're made uncomfortable, and in conversations with them about things like that, it never comes up that they've been uncomfortable. might they be lying? of course, this needn't be a stutterer-specific thing. it might just be _me_, reacting that way to stuttering (albeit highly likely related to the fact that i stutter myself). i do e.g. quickly pick up on the tiniest of indications that speakers have a stutter.
