let me give you a perspective: my friend's kid is almost 3 and half. The kid has a stutter (about 1-2 words per sentence, and he rolls the letters few times until he can get it out)..... but he's very talkative, and enjoys speaking with everyone the kid doesn't feel he's doing anything wrong (he really isn't).... the only way he'll start 'feeling' he's doing something 'wrong' is if some bully makes fun of his stutter or a teacher inadvertently tells him to speak like everybody else ..... the parents are exposing him to lot of situations where he has to talk, and the more he speaks, the more confident he's becoming... he's strengthening his belief that there's nothing wrong with him..... hopefully, he'll maintain this confidence as he grows up and brush aside people making fun of him Instead of putting him into therapy, the parents are simply reinforcing that there's nothing wrong with him... which is an amazing way of showing the kid that he's enough the way he is. We all are enough the way we are. Once we understand this, we'll show up in this world more confident and more assured about ourselves .....
