I say go for it! There’s research that shows that disclosing has positive outcomes for both the listener and the speaker (you). If you’re interested, Dr. Courtney Byrd from UT at Austin has done a lot of research on this topic. If you do decide to disclose, do so in a neutral way (no apologizing for your stutter). So something like, “Hey, I stutter so you may hear me repeat words and prolong sounds,” but obviously make it true to you. I think it will go great!
