Heart palpitations and what I'd do about it.

Heart palpitations and what I'd do about it. When you're about to have to say something when you feel you won't be able to, you'll likely feel hella heart palpitations. Big heartbeats that also will feel like they're throwing your breath/breathing off entirely. Focus on this and breath, breath out, keep breathing out. Forget the words, your mind knows how to say the words, you don't need to worry about saying them in any particular way, forget about that, breath out and focus on the heart palpitations, as you do and as you breath out, maybe even after you just stuttered, you'll already start to feel easier because your mind knows these heart palpitations and anxiety isn't normal or necessary. When you get used to it you won't have to breath out so heavily or anything but you'll also realize you don't need to think so hard and stress yourself out before a stutter because you'll realize that only leads to such heart palpitations only for you to then try to relax and breath out of it and the anxiety. So there's no need to send such mixed signals, there's no need to get into a flight or fight feel. When you feel the heart rhythm all messed up, don't waste your time worrying about how to get the words out as you already know how to say the words, the problem happening to you, as you should feel, is that abnormal heartbeat and screwed breathing pattern along with it. When they tell you to focus on your breathing and go slow, this is what it's really alleviating. Hope this makes sense, helps with awareness in such confusing situations. All the best, hope it helps.
