Questions for stutterers and relevance to The Stutterer Hi, I am an undergraduate student tasked with the project to learn how a piece of film or literature that we studied is applicable to the real world. One of the films we watched was Stutterer, an Oscar winning film that is quite prevalent already on this subreddit. I have a few questions relating to Stutterer concerning how accurate it really is to how someone with a stutter lives their life. 1. How accurate is Stutterer? 2. In Stutterer, Greenwood lives his life and finds romance online, however when the opportunity arises to meet Ellie he is crippled by his anxiety. Is this relevant at all? If so, how do you address it? 3. One of Stutterers greatest themes is the contrast of Greenwood's inner monologue to his inability to speak. Is this contrast applicable in the real world? I also have some questions relating to personal opinions and experiences from you. 1. Has anyone ostracized you for your stutter? On the other hand, are people generally more patient? 2. How would you like to be treated, and what can we do as a public to help? Thank you!
