As someone who's dealt with stuttering for years and worked hard to overcome it, one of the most frustrating things is when people assume I'm lying because I stutter. "You're a liar. Why are you stuttering your words then?" Or sometimes they won't say it but they imply it. It's like my words get tangled up sometimes, and instead of being patient or understanding, some folks jump to conclusions and think I'm not being truthful. It's hurtful and completely untrue. Stuttering is not a sign of deceit—it's just a speech pattern that some of us deal with. So next time you encounter someone who stutters, remember, we're not lying; we're just trying to get our words out. - internet guy
