My grandad is just a little older than you and grew up during the same time period. From what he's told me it sounds like it was rough back then. His teachers made fun of him for his stutter and even his family. Bad as it still feels now I guess I can be glad people in general are more considerate and we younger ones have it easier. My granddad is a huge influence in my life and role model for me.
