My first name starts with a soft “A” and I cannot even fathom how many times I’ve gotten the ol’ “Oh did you forget name?” forced introduction reply. It makes me cringe just thinking about it. People tend to think they’re being novel and adding levity to a situation but it’s pretty much on par with saying to a cashier “Oh it must be free then!” when their item doesn’t scan correctly and results in more work and effort from the employee. Good for you though, man!
