Our saying where I work is that we work with diapers to diapers. We can work with kids in diapers all the way to older people who need diapers. It’s VERY common to start and stop speech therapy and have any amount of time gap between sessions. Not to say that it doesn’t matter if you’ve ever done speech therapy, but there are so many approaches and ways to incorporate previous knowledge (or lack there of) into any activity we need to do. We’re experts in this stuff. Doesn’t matter how much you know already as long as you play along and learn when we teach you :)
