It’s just an exercise to make you less scared about speaking therefor have more fluency when you speak also gives you a chance to use the tools they taught you in a real life situation. I did it in my speech therapy class in elementary school. It was nerve racking for me but after I did it I realized it wasn’t so bad and they did understand me which was relieving. Honestly if don’t feel scared or anything then at least do it to practice with the tools they taught you to speak more fluently. This exercise is only going to make you more confident so look at it that way instead of an annoying thing you have to do.
