I have to agree with the previous commenters here. Fillers may help you not stutter at first, but in the end they can become so distracting and actually make you sound daft. I know a person who stutters and says “everything like that” all the time. Almost every sentence is peppered with this phrase and it’s frankly annoying and takes away from her message. It’s like she teen used to say “like” a million times. Gah! But can you use them in a pinch, absolutely yes.
