I totally empathize with this rant. I am in law school, and well, lawyers need to be able to talk in front of people. the trick that has worked for me is to talk to every one of my professors at the beginning of the semester and explain that I have a disability and that while I will try to participate, sometimes I will need to be given some accommodations. It’s best to be upfront about it. I didn’t do this in undergrad and my grades hurt because of it. I got a C in my public speaking class because I skipped the oral final and didn’t tell my professor why. I am upset about it to this day, not because of my stutter, but because I didn’t advocate for myself like I should have. My advice to you is: ADVOCATE. You have every right to earn a top grade, and just because you stutter does not mean that you should be graded lower than your peers. I hope this helps a little. I am with you! Feel free to message me if you ever need to vent.
