Hey! Speech Pathologist here! Is what you’re going to say for your presentation written out? If not I would ask your teacher if it’s okay if you type it out so you can read it off of paper instead of reading it off of the PowerPoint. I’ll explain. One tip I give for my students is to type out what they need to say for a presentation if they can. Plain black type easy to read. Then underline in red or blue or highlight where you think it’s natural to take a breath during your presentation. Chunk your phrases. Practice it out loud. See what sounds natural. Change it if you feel like you need to. Look up “pausing and phrasing” from peachie speechie on YouTube. She explains it wonderfully It won’t be perfect but that’s okay!!!! Always know that it’s OKAY to stutter, you are amazing, and there’s also nothing wrong with seeking out some stuttering modification strategies to ease some of your stress. Goodluck 😊 keep us updated!!
