I'd have to say, going to school in person is not as bad as you think. I stutter all the time in school, but I just don't care what people think anymore. Plus I think I the long run, going to a physical school will be better for you overall. You will be forced to stutter all the time, so you will get to the point where it doesn't bother you anymore (at least it did for me). And, having a physical professor to talk to could help you learn better.
