Individuals that persist usually tend to focus on easy stuttering/controlled fluency (such as, often learned in speech therapy) over subconscious fluency (such as, in choral reading). I propose that speech therapies should begin incorporating clinical interventions regarding subconscious fluency or stuttering remission (rather than symptom reduction).
