It's not about being born vs being dead, it's about whether they appreciate their existence, despite their stutter. Abortion has nothing to do with this. I'm approaching this from a standpoint of having children at all. Not a singular instance of pregnancy. I'm not trying to come at it from a pro-life stance point, but more from one where our lives, as those who stutter, do matter and do have value. OP's stance is suggesting that our existence is so humiliating, so traumatic, that imposing a stutter on a child is cruel. Therefore the child should not be given an opportunity to exist. While we may debate various philosophical and religious standpoints about souls, energy, quantum matter, the foundation of my argument is that my life, our lives, are worth living. I do accept your reasoning, however, of advising those who would be bad or unsupportive parents not to have kids. In which case, if OP would be unsupportive they shouldn't have kids.
