customer service job for a few months and that little “good afternoon thank you for calling… my name is…” introduction is, somehow, getting worse? it’s been five months since i (begrudgingly) got a job working as a customer service rep and some of those days i have to receive calls and help out customers which is mostly fine But i have noticed that I am getting stuck on my “greeting/introduction” part which is just so ????? i can say my intro bit ten times alone with no problem but as soon as a accept a call, it becomes such a burden?? and i dont think it was like that at the beginning; one would imagine that knowing the words would make it easier for me to say (like saying a script), but it’s where ive been failing the most It’s like I tense up, knowing It’s coming, and I even started saying my Middle Name instead of my First Name because something about my first name just fucks me up anyway just ranting
