A cheap and effective alternative to speech therapy is metronome training. It's very simple, you read from a book and pronounce one syllable per beat, on the beat. It's been shown to have very similar neurological effects as actual speech therapy. The study below had participants read along to a metronome for fifteen minutes a day, five days a week, for eight weeks. On the personal level, please don't give up. Life may seem terrible at this moment, but with time and help it'll come around. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1053811915000385
