Advice/Opinions on disclosing a stutter
Content
Advice/Opinions on disclosing a stutter I've read from articles, posts on this forum etc about people disclosing their stutter before a conversation with a stranger. I'm torn about it but mainly I'm not sure how to do in a flowing way. Saying "Thank you for calling __, my name Is ___, I do have a stutter by the way" seems awkward and just off I'm torn on the subject because to me I shouldn't have to tell someone I have a stutter for them to give me basic respect and not say something about it in a negative manner. But what are some opinions, thoughts, advice, etc on the topic
