Trying to work on my stutter

Trying to work on my stutter I've been working on my speech and I've been trying to speak with more "personality" rather than just a monotone voice. I've noticed I'm a lot more fluent doing this over the phone but, it is hard when i get into an actual conversion or presentation and the pressure gets to me and I crumble back into my old ways. Sometimes when I'm more comfortable I am more fluent otherwise I still stutter. Has anyone ever tried this? Also I've tried speaking with a "ramp" like speeding up the tempo on the words to where I know I will stutter, or stretching another sound before I say a word where I know I will stutter. Anyone also tried that technique? It works a little same with the first technique but sometimes it is still hard to get words out, maybe it is the pressure. I had to introduce myself in a group on people yesterday I went in with full confidence thinking "i will not stutter I have practiced this at home on the phone many times" and I did not stutter, i also had to do the same thing 4 times after where I stuttered each time. I will have to do it many more times for the next 3 weeks Did my "success" delude me into a false sense of security? I try to emulate the same feelings prior to when I was fluent the first time, but sometimes the anxiety just gets to me. Anyway I'll end it here before it gets too long, just want to know what you think of my experiences and how I can improve. I'm 18 y/o male if it changes anything. Been covert stutter all my life i guess i am still covert now because I am doing a summer program with like 50 other students and haven't told anyone I stuttered yet but i am still trying to talk more, i'm trying to talk when I know I won't stutter or when I know I will stutter only one one or two words in a sentence. And I never talk for like over a sentence, that is also something I've noticed.
