So true. Learning to speak is stressful enough without making the child feel somehow defective, too. Remain patient and loving. Adding additional stress to your child's life will only add insult to injury. Because stuttering can be a normal phase of learning to speak, hold off on the SLT until the dysfluency continues after the age of 6, it's still early enough to seek a professional.
