Worked at an IT call center in college for years. After a few weeks, I realized that most of my conversations were almost identical. I was saying the same things over and over again, "have you tried turning it off and on again?", etc. For me, the repetition and consistency made it second nature and I was almost always fluent with customers. There was the occasional hard block, of course. And those are always stress-inducing - especially on a phone where they can't see you to understand what's happening. When that does happen and they start with the "hello? You're cutting out. Must have a bad connection.." stuff, don't be afraid to stop yourself mid-block and explain that you have a stutter and sometimes it takes a second to get the words out. They're almost always understanding and patient after that. I've noticed too that I can recover a lot more quickly from a bad block if I just stop for a second, take a breath, smile, and try again. Don't let the stutter-related anxiety get the best of you! Shake it off and move on. Also, it made me a more confident speaker, so there's a lot of benefits. Kudos for taking the job! Have fun with it
