Why can't I make any progress? I'd class my stutter as being quite frequent and consisting usually of blocks when talking to people, and I keep slipping into bad habits in order to get the words out. I almost subconsciously change the inflection and tone of my voice to a higher one that puts strain on my throat when I'm in public and I accidentally add in unnecessary words or verbal filler. How do I get rid of these habits, and should I try change my blocks to repetitions/prolongations or just leave them be? Also, I know stuttering is incurable, and I've recently got on the process to accepting it, but is there any way to at least reduce how frequently you stutter?
